Artists
Each year three highly qualified jurors select the artists whose work will be exhibited at the festival. The jurors’ experience, credentials and commitment to art ensure another first-class festival. Many practicing artists earn their living throughout the United States. The College Hill Arts Festival is a popular venue for artists, in part because competitive prizes are awarded for works judged by our jurors as "best in the show."

The College Hill Arts Festival is again pleased to announce their support of the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, co-sponsored by the UNI Department of Art and the UNI Gallery of Art.
The 2010 recipient of the Merit Award sponsored by the College Hill Arts Festival is Sarah Rogers for her work entitled "Momento Mori". The presentation was made at the annual UNI Awards Ceremony on March 22, 2010 by Vaughn Griffith, Co-Chair of the College Hill Arts Festival.
Sarah Rogers, originally from Cherokee, Iowa, is a junior at the University of Northern Iowa in the Department of Art with an emphasis in printmaking. Her work is an altered book that is described as 'book, pen/ink, and ribbon'. |

Award of Excellence Winners
After the Festival begins, the job of the jurors is not yet done, however; they will select five Award of Excellence winners from the exhibiting artists who will be invited to show again at the next years festival.
Five $400 prizes were awarded to the artists in 2009, whose work is displayed here, made possible by generous community donors (see left sidebar).
