NON-PROFIT APPLICATION GUIDELINES
CHAF Non-profit Organization Display Space Application (Click Here) Guidelines for Non-profit exhibitors at the College Hill Arts Festival (CHAF) The Mission of the College Hill Arts Festival is to give the people of the Cedar Valley access to a wide variety of fine arts, both display art and performance art. The College Hill Arts Festival has always allocated a limited amount of display area at the annual Festival to non-profit organizations who participate in, support, promote, publicize, or provide information in arts education. Since such display space is limited, non-profits must formally apply each year for space at CHAF. General guidelines; ·Non-profit organizations who support the arts in the Cedar Valley are eligible ·Organizations wishing to display at the College Hill Arts Festival (CHAF) must submit an application by the 15 May deadline to allow site planning. Applications submitted after that date will not be considered. Successful applicants will be notified by 1 June via e-mail. ·Non-profit displays are not authorized to sell anything at CHAF but are there to promote and provide information on their organization and its activities in support of the arts. ·An application by a non profit organization constitutes acceptance of these conditions by that non profit. ·Acceptance of a non-profit to display at CHAF will be based on how well the mission of the applying non-profit compliments the mission of CHAF ·Acceptance will be at the sole discretion of CHAF Displays; ·Each organization will be allocated approximately a 12 foot by 12 foot space. ·The placement of a non-profit display will be at the sole discretion of the Festival ·Displays will consist of a provided 10’ X 10’ self supporting awning or marquee. ·CHAF will provide a table and minimum of two chairs for the display staff Requirements for the display; ·Signage explaining the non-profit’s mission and functions will be affixed to the marquee or be vertically self supporting on the display table ·The display must be open and staffed at all times when the festival is open: Noon until 8:00 pm on Friday and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. ·CHAF is a rain or shine festival and displays will be manned ‘rain or shine’ ·Display personnel are expected to wear name tags identifying them with the non-profit. ·Displays will not sell anything nor compete with the Artists or Festival Foods vendor sales. This includes giving away free bottles of soda or free popcorn or selling refrigerator magnets with the non-profit’s name or logo ·The non-profit is encouraged to provide free items for CHAF attendees –brochures promoting the arts, explaining the non-profit mission, fact sheets, schedules, applications, novelties, etc. ·The display will be cleaned out at the end of each day and all trash moved to a site trash container. Costs; ·CHAF charges a nominal fee of $ 75.00 for a non profit display space ·For that fee CHAF will provide, erect, teardown, and remove the canopy, table and two chairs ·Upon notification of acceptance on June 1, the non profit will be directed to make payment via VISA/MasterCard through the CHAF PayPal link.
